Polish opposition intends to challenge results of elections of the President of the Supreme court. On 16 July, the TV channel TVN24 said the head of “Civil platform” Boris Booth.
“I’ll tell the President right in the face: you became President due to the unfair election game,” he said.
According to Booth, the opposition has received from the citizens of Poland “thousands of messages” about the violations. Some of them were minor (for example, the disparity between the number of votes in electronic and paper ballots), other – serious. As an example, he cited the problems with voting abroad, because of which “the right to vote were deprived of tens of thousands of poles”.
“In my opinion, these elections were not equal, these elections were stolen by the poles. Whether it affected the result? In our opinion, Yes. A protest against the election results filed it for the fact that the Supreme court has decided: did what was done [at the result],” stressed Booth.
The second round of presidential elections in Poland took place on 12 July. The current head of state Andrzej Duda won with a score of 51,03% (10 440 648 votes), his rival, the mayor of Warsaw, rafał Trzaskowski, representing the opposition, scored 48, 97mm% (10 018 263).
