UEFA is close to making a final decision to finish the 2019/20 Champions League and other competitions this season.

After the 1/8 finals (two matches) in the Champions League will be played the final eight in the Portuguese Lisbon. It will start on 12 August and the final is scheduled for August 23.

Calendar of finishing in the Champions League

  • 1/8 final (completing): 7-8 August
  • Quarter-finals: August 12-15
  • Semi-finals: August 18-19
  • Final: August 23

The draw for the final eight in Lisbon (quarterfinal pairs) will be held in mid-July in Nyon. The UEFA super Cup will be played in Hungarian Budapest on 24 September.

The final of the Champions in the next, 2021 will be held in Istanbul at the Olympic Ataturk stadium. UEFA has postponed for one year the right to host the Champions League final for the Turkish capital.

But the Champions League final in 2022 will now be in Russian Saint-Petersburgsince the arena of “Zenith” was to take the final 2021, will also be a shift for the year.

The women’s Champions League will be the final round, both men. It will be held from 21 to 30 August. The final eight are scheduled in Spain, in the neighbouring cities of Bilbao and SanSebastian.

The UEFA Executive Committee should ratify all these decisions on Wednesday, June 17.
