Pharmaceutical companies will have access to monitoring their medication
For the first time in Russia, drug manufacturers will have access to the data of monitoring the movement of its pharmaceutical products, and foreign companies will be able to encode drugs for import into the country in a special bonded warehouse. The corresponding decree was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, writes “Rossiyskaya Gazeta”. The access of producers to monitor the movement of drugs can lead to impairment, experts say.
The adopted amendments will simplify the work of the market participants, says the Deputy General Director of the operator of the digital marking of the Center of advanced technology development Revaz Yusupov. According to him, the easier will be to record data in the system, which will reduce the time spent on dealing with medicines. He said that today 70% of the activity it observed among foreign companies – major producers already label medicines in their facilities abroad and import them. Therefore, the marking of bonded warehouses facilitate the importation of rare drugs and reduce manufacturers ‘ costs for deliveries to Russia. And providing domestic companies with access to the system for monitoring the movement of pharmaceuticals, said Yusupov, increase efficiency in logistics, distribution, marketing, will allow companies to optimize their costs, which in result may lead to a reduction in the cost of drugs for consumers.
The Ministry has analysed the possibility to label the drugs at customs warehouses are properly licensed. The Ministry noted that such facilities are available. The rules provide for the possibility of applying to the package codes by the method of labeling. This technology is used for shoes. “Additional new tool aimed at preventing even the slightest of difficulties with the importation of small quantities of drugs from abroad. All the risk of shortage is minimized,” – said the Agency.
