The Union of European football associations UEFA is currently working on a calendar for the resumption of the football activity in Europe. One of the most important points discussed is the schedule of the Champions League for next season.

And already have the date of the beginning of the main round of the UEFA Champions League is on Tuesday, October 20. On that date, UEFA plans to run the first round of the group stage of the season 2020/2021. Wednesday, October 21, will be the second day of the tournament, and the date of the beginning of the group stage of the Europa League becomes Thursday, October 22. It is more than a month later than usual start date of the group round of the European Cup (last year Champions League was launched on 17 September 2019).

The qualifying rounds of the Champions League and LE will start much earlier, in late July or early August. The second qualifying round of the Europa League, where starts the first Ukrainian team will be held on Thursday, August 13. The day before, on Tuesday and Wednesday, will host the second qualifying round of the Champions League.

All of this information became known to the Spanish journalists from the documents of La Liga with the planned calendar for the next season. According to reports, the UEFA said that the current season in the European Championships must be completed before July 31.
