No Audi, BMW or Toyota in Formula 1. Large companies are not ready
Now in Formula 1 are three factory teams – Mercedes, Ferrari and Renault. In addition, Honda supplies its engines, but in coming years the major car manufacturers to enter the sport will not be.
This convinced the Director of the f-1 Ross brown.
“I would like to attract more brands, but now will not. To produce the same engine for the f-1 is very expensive, not to mention the whole team.”
“While the strength of the current technical regulations, the new large companies in the f-1 will not” – said brown.
The current regulations on the engines will operate at least until 2026.
There were rumors about a possible return in f-1 Audi, but the company denies this. After retiring in 2009, not going back, BMW and Toyota.
