Pharmaceutical industry in Russia has withstood the challenges of the pandemic coronavirus, critical shortage of drugs was avoided, said Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, in presenting the annual report of the government in the state Duma.
The Prime Minister noted that last year the medical and pharmaceutical industries have shown significant growth — about 20%. He mentioned about the qualitative changes — the emergence of new drugs for the treatment of HIV, Oncology and cardiovascular diseases.
“All this was a good help, when due to the spread of the coronavirus needed to dramatically increase production of medicines, personal protective equipment, and medical equipment. Pharmaceuticals and medprom coped with the task — critical tankers”, — quote “Izvestia” the words mishustina.
The Prime Minister added that it is necessary to strengthen the stability of the economy and the healthcare system to risks that may arise in the future.
