The former, Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel has told about what kind of relationship exists between Andriy Shevchenko and Didier Drogba after the Ukrainian joined the club in 2006:
“Drogba has always loved to compete. The greater the match or more difficult the competition, the more he wanted to prove himself. This happened when Sheva came, he tried to raise his level to prove he’s in charge.
But I saw and how he tried to help Shevchenko. After training, they stayed together to work out the bumps. Lampard too. They have always encouraged the boys to joined them”.
Previously Mikel has denied rumors of a conflict between Shevchenko and Jose Mourinho.
