Foreign Minister of Germany Heiko Maas has not excluded that the EU will re-close the border in the event of deterioration of the epidemiological situation in certain areas. He declared it in interview to Agency dpa on June 27.
According to Maas, the borders will be closed if the number of infections in any region of the EU will be significantly higher than in others.
He noted that such a decision should be taken at the European level through the ballot box.
