Lyon urged the leadership of Ligue 1 to resume the season in French championship, which was completed ahead of schedule because of the coronavirus:
“The President of the Spanish La Liga Javier Tebas explained that the full-stop of football in Spain would mean the loss of a billion euros for Spanish football, and if the matches will be played without spectators, it will be “only” 300 million euros.
Olympique Lyon hopes that the example of Spain (and a little earlier – Germany) will give an opportunity to reconsider the decision taken in France too hastily. It is reasonable to assume that today the players and coaches of the championship of France which is more suitable for the resumption of the championship than at the time of voting on April 23″.
Earlier, Lyon had filed a lawsuit against the League 1.
