“Limitations give the first results.” In France almost a week reduced the number of deaths from coronavirus
For last days in a French hospital from coronavirus infection has died, 310, reported in a communique of the Ministry of health of the country.
“In France since the epidemic was confirmed by the 95 403 case COVID-19. In total, since the beginning of the epidemic, died 14 393 people. […] Measures to curb physical and social distancing, a drastic reduction of contacts give first results”, – declared in the Ministry of health.
The French edition of The Local writes that, in addition to 310 people in hospitals, died on 251 patients in nursing homes (France keeps a record of these deaths separately). Thus, in total, the day he died 561 (74 less than a day earlier).
According to the TV station France 24, the daily loss in France has fallen by almost a week – from 6 April.
The Ministry of health stressed that France was only “at the beginning of this plateau”. “We must remain vigilant, because in hospitals there is very large number of patients. We must not weaken efforts and to continue to reduce the number of contacts each day in order to curb transmission of the virus,” – said in the message.
According to data from the American Johns Hopkins University, France ranks fourth in the world in the number of cases and deaths, after the US, Spain and Italy.
