Lennox LEWIS: “Manny Steward wanted me before he knocked out Tyson”
The former absolute world champion in the heavyweight Lennox Lewis said that it had to finish the fight against the legendary Mike Tyson.
“The fight was as I expected. Tyson is always dangerous, but Manny Steward (trainer of Lewis – ed.) said that this will be my easiest fight.
Manny wanted, so I knocked him out before, because of the ropes he saw that Tyson was not himself. I wasn’t going to risk it, because he knew that we have 12 rounds. Manny wanted it to happen before, but I decided to wait in the wings,” said Lewis.
Recall that Lewis knocked out Tyson in the eighth round, there was a belt for the WBC/IBF/IBO.
