KRASYUK: “Either Joshua fights with a barb or fury, but without the WBO title”
General Director of K2 Promotions Alexander Krasyuk told that the team of Alexander Usik is going to defend their right to a championship fight in the heavyweight division.
Previously, Barb was offered after the fight with Derek Cooroy to meet first with Diliana white, and then go to the championship match.
“Mandatory protection against whiskers had to take place before the battle of Joshua with a Bullet. But we have shown flexibility and not too insisted on this duel, allowing Anthony to spend a mandatory defense of the IBF title, while Usik will fight with Derek Cooroy.
But it was made with the expectation that the WBO champion (whoever it was Joshua or Pulev) needs to hold a mandatory defense against whiskers. This means that either Joshua fights a Mustache or fighting fury without the WBO title,” said Krasyuk.
