Kadyrov said that he is worthy of the Nobel prize, not sanctions
The head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov said that for his work he should give the Nobel prize. About this informed the TV channel “Russia 1” in an interview aired on July 26.
“Where did I violate human rights? On the contrary, we fight, we die. Die defending human rights. Stopped a war, destroyed by international terrorism. I think I get the Nobel prize for what I have overcome terrorism, and they, on the contrary, I was under the sanctions. Not fair!”
On 20 July the US state Department has made Kadyrov in the black list and introduced against him and his family sanctions for human rights violations, torture and extrajudicial killings over the last 10 years. In response, Kadyrov posted a photo with two machine guns and the caption: “Pompeo, we accept the battle! Next will be more interesting!”
The blacklisting provides for a ban on entry in the US, Kadyrov and his wife Medni Kadyrova and daughters, Aishat and Karina.
After that, the head of Chechnya invited Secretary of state Mike Pompeo to arrive in Grozny.
On 23 July, Kadyrov said that he changed his mind. “Everything, cancel the invitation and announce to include all sanctions against [Pompeo], which we have in the Republic, until the freezing of all his accounts. The same thing they did against me,” he said. Kadyrov expressed the view that if against him in the United States impose sanctions, it is considered a “world level”.
