Iran launched its first military satellite Noor

The Iranian Islamic revolutionary guards corps announced the successful launch of its first military satellite Noor to orbit the Earth. On this April 22, according to Iran Front Page.

As notes the edition, the satellite was launched two-stage rocket carrier in Central Iran on Wednesday, 22 April 2020. It put into orbit at an altitude of 425 kilometers from the earth’s surface.

In February of this year, Iran has already attempted to bring a military satellite into orbit. February 9 was successfully launched the carrier rocket “Simorg”, but she couldn’t get the satellite remote sensing “Zafar” into the calculated orbit. It was already the third attempt to bring the satellite, the previous two were taken in 2019.

Shortly after the launch of “Simorg” in the United States said that the satellites that Iran is trying to launch, I want to use to create ballistic missiles. In Tehran claim that the satellites needed to study the weather and predict natural disasters.
