Iran has issued a warrant for the arrest of the President of the United States Donald trump on the case concerning the killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani. On 29 June he informed the Prosecutor of Tehran Ali Alkali Mehr, reported Fars News.
Except for trump, allegations of involvement in murder and terrorism filed against 35 people, including senior us politicians and military leaders, said Mehr. He did not mention their names. Iran has issued a warrant for the arrest of all these persons.
Mehr reported that Iran will apply to Interpol with a request to release all the defendants in the list of so-called red cards. This means that the country asks for assistance in their search for extradition.
The Prosecutor stressed that Iran will continue to prosecute trump even after his presidential term ends.
The US special envoy on Iran Brian hook at a press conference in Saudi Arabia called the initiative of Iran’s “propaganda stunt”, said the TV station Al Jazeera. According to hook, she is political and has nothing to do with national security, international peace or promote stability.
Interpol and the administration trump has not yet commented on the statement of Mehra. The TV station said that “red cards” allow local law enforcement to detain individuals on behalf of the requesting country, although they are not a guarantee that the country will be given of the suspects.
