Researchers from Wuhan Institute of Virology and other institutions for the study of coronaviruses of bats was funded by the United States, reported on 28 April, the magazine Newsweek.

Pompeo said there is a “tremendous amount” of evidence of this version, but did not give specific details. 30 April the US intelligence community issued a statementthat the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 was not artificially created or modified.
The world health organization called speculative statements about the leak of a coronavirus from laboratory in Wuhan. The organization noted that has not yet received from the US government “no specific data about the alleged origins of the virus”.
The Chinese authorities believe that the virus has spread from Wuhan market animals and seafood “huanan”.
