On June 24 the court of appeals of the district of Columbia issued a decision terminating the criminal prosecution of a former US presidential Advisor Donald trump on national security, General Michael Flynn, reported the Agency Reuters.

The verdict of the Washington appeal court obliges the district judge Emmet Sullivan to stop production on the legality of closing a criminal case against Flynn. May 12, the judge scheduled additional hearings on the causes of the collapse of the case and withdrawal of charges.
The hearing was scheduled for July 16. The defendant was identified by the Ministry of justice. Sullivan also sought to ascertain whether there are grounds to bring the General to justice for the lies: he twice pleaded guilty to perjury, and then recanted.
In January 2017 edition of the Wall Street Journal reported that intelligence agencies had investigated when Flynn with representatives of the Russian authorities. In particular, they talked about the phone calls Flynn the then Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak. On the day of introduction of additional sanctions against the Kremlin, on 29 December 2016 there were five telephone conversations adviser and Kislyak.
Flynn was fired from the post of Advisor, 24 days after the appointment of trump, in February 2017. The reason for his departure in the White house called a “loss of confidence” from the President.
November 30, 2017 spectracolor Robert Mueller has put forward against General accusations on two episodes of disinformation the FBI concerning contact with Kislyak. 1 Dec 2017 Flynn pleaded guilty and announced he was going to the plea deal. The ex-Advisor claimed to have made contact with Kislyak at the direction of the headquarters of the trump.
The prosecution asked for Flynn’s imprisonment of up to six months, the defence argued for the appointment of probation and community service. The court hearing in Washington on this case was postponed indefinitely.
In the beginning of 2020 Flynn said that withdraws guilty plea in fraud, the FBI and terminates the transaction with a consequence. Trump Mar 15, reported that considering a pardon of his former adviser.
May 7, the U.S. justice Department withdrew all charges against Flynn.
