In the case of the murder in Austria of a Chechen Umarov Mamehana there is another suspect. About it reports the edition ОЕ24.
The man was near the crime scene in a major shopping center in the suburbs of Vienna, Gerasdorf, and it was initially identified by law enforcement authorities as a witness. At the moment he is detained and is possibly involved in the crime, the newspaper writes.
The alleged killer Umarov, a 47-year-old male, who was arrested immediately after the murder – was taken into custody.
According to the newspaper, the two suspects are Chechens.
Umarov was killed on the evening of 4 July in the suburbs of Vienna, Gerasdorf shot in the head. Soon militiamen detained the driver of a car alleged killer. Umarov had applied for political asylum in Austria.
In social networks and interviews he referred to himself as a former mercenary who called himself a former employee of the Ministry of Sharia state security of the Republic of Ichkeria, told about the relations of the Russian special services with the assassinations of political refugees and former Chechen separatists in Europe. Umarov has been a consistent critic of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, often his remarks was offensive.
Former Ukrainian MP Igor Mosiychuk said that Umarov sought a way for American politiciansto talk about the murders by order of the Chechen authorities around the world.
Ukrainian journalist Andrei Tsaplienko said that Umarov in Chechnya tried to order the murder of volunteers Amines Okueva, Adam Osmayev and Mosiychuk.
