38 people died and 10 suffered burns as a result of heavy fire in a newly built warehouse in the South Korean city of Incheon, said the Agency Yonhap.
The fire occurred on the second underground level. Firefighters suspect it was caused by a sudden explosion during the installation of the freight Elevator, during which used fuel is the chemical urethane. Witnesses heard at least 10 loud bangs.
The fire spread very quickly, and the victims, apparently, had no chance to evacuate, said at the firehouse.
In the building, according to preliminary data, was 78 people, many unaccounted for.
The fire took more than five hours.
