The confidence rating of Russian President Vladimir Putin has fallen to 23%. It follows from the data of the June survey of “Levada-center”, published on June 29.
Respondents were asked to name five or six names of politicians or public figures whom they trust the most. Most Russians remember Putin, but his rating since November 2017 (data not shown) is constantly decreasing from 59% in November 2017 up to 23% in July 2020.
At the same time to a direct question, whether Russians approve of Putin’s performance as President, 60% said Yes, 33% no.
The survey was conducted on 24 – 25 July 2020, on a representative sample of the population of Russia with a volume of 1617 people aged 18 years and older. The study was conducted by telephone interviews on a random sample of dibasic offer mobile and fixed phones. The statistical error does not exceed 2.4%.
Presidential elections in Russia were held on 18 March. According to the CEC of Russia voted for Putin 76,69% of voters. The CEC announcedthat the turnout in Russia is made up of 59.94%.
