In Russia a blogger was fined because of the inscription “Putin is a thief” on the snow

In Russia, blogger Mikhail Alferov was fined 30 thousand roubles (11,5 thousand UAH) on charges of contempt of authority on the Internet because of the inscription “Putin is a thief” on the snow. About the Alferov told “MBH media”.

The inscription Alferov made on the snow in one of his videos back in March. The blogger said that in court because of the inscription he was not summoned, the meeting shall be appointed, just ruled.

The judgment, which was received by journalists, stated that the suburb was allegedly notified of the hearing, but were not on it. The blogger told reporters that the judge in his case “made a journey through time, June 1, 2020 he moved in on may 19 and appointed the court on June 1, after which went back to June 1, and issued the decree about appointment of administrative punishment.”

According to the expert, in the video “contains a negative evaluation of the Russian Federation President Putin, which is presented in the form of categorical statements of fact, presented (expressed) in a word with a negative (negative) lexical value (“thief”)”.

In the video Alferov says, as the tractor only removes the snow of the inscription.

In March 2019 , the Russian state Duma adopted the law about blocking fake news and punishment for contempt of state power in the Internet. The state Duma has equated to disorderly conduct, the dissemination of information that “offends human dignity and public morality, expresses clear disrespect for society, state, official state symbols of the Russian Federation, the Constitution of the Russian Federation or bodies exercising state power in the Russian Federation”.

At the request of Roskomnadzor site owners need during the day to remove such information, otherwise punishable with a fine (from $454 to $4.5 thousand) or administrative arrest.
