Russian football club “Rostov” has released an official statement about the information on 6 cases of infection with coronavirus in the team. The club goes on a two-week quarantine.
“In preparation for the match of 23 Matchday of RPL “Sochi” — “Rostov”, the players, coaches and staff of our team undergo regular tests COVID-19.
The results of the last test showed abnormalities at six of the main players of our team. Now these players are isolated from the team. In close contact with them were 42 members of FC “Rostov” — it’s the players, the coaching staff and team personnel.
Priority of the football club “Rostov” is the health of the players and staff, as well as the safety of the competition. So the club immediately informed the leadership of relevant departments, the RFU and RPL, but also took all measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection,” reads a statement on the official website of the Russian club.
