In new York, three children died from the syndrome, which may be associated with COVID-19
In the U.S. state of new York from a rare inflammatory syndrome, which may be associated with a coronavirus infection, and died three children. This was reported may 9 at a briefing the Governor of the state Andrew Cuomo, informs Reuters.
According to him, the children – including five children – inflammation of the blood vessels and damage to the heart. They also diagnosed COVID-19 or “related antibodies”.
Cuomo explained that officials of the health system found 73 cases with similar symptoms, but the final conclusion still not done. According to one version, for a similar syndrome has a genetic basis.
Scientists have not determined for sure whether there’s a link syndrome coronavirus.
The Governor of the state called the situation “truly alarming”, noting that previously it was thought that young people are not exposed to the risk of coronavirus.
