In Moscow will double the number of beds for coronavirus patients
In the near future in Moscow will increase bed capacity to treat patients with coronavirus infection, said the capital’s mayor Sergei Sobyanin. According to him, the number of beds will be increased twice.
“We expect in the next week and a half to nearly double the number of beds to treat patients with the coronavirus,” — said the mayor. Just at present in hospitals there are 15 thousand beds for the treatment of patients with COVID-19, daily will shift one or two hospitals.
April 23, opened the hospital on the basis of the clinical hospital of the medical-sanitary unit of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia. It has 300 beds for patients with coronavirus infection and 30 beds intensive care. Here is the necessary medical equipment, including CT scanner, two MRI and 20 ventilators.
“Today, our medical system, health system, hospital network cope with the challenges facing them with the flow of patients, which is increasing every day”, — said Sergey Sobyanin.
