On 28 July, the government of Latvia has changed the manner of controlling the spread of coronavirus infection by providing testing arriving in the country of migrant workers. About this informed the Ministry of health of the country.
“To reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 from August 1, all persons coming to Latvia to perform their jobs from countries with high prevalence rates, including cultural workers, will have to conduct the tests,” – said in the message.
Testing will conduct migrant workers before starting work. They will need to be in isolation until then, until you get a negative for coronavirus. After five to seven days after departure from his country’s workers will have to take the test.
The health Ministry noted that the testing will be conducted at the expense of the Latvian state, if the taxes of a migrant worker is paid in Latvia.
