In Kazan during a lecture about the control of public procurement, which conducted the head of the anticorruption center Transparency International in Yekaterinburg Ekaterina Petrova, arrested 16 people. This was announced on 25 July, the TV channel E1.ru.
Among the detainees were Petrov and attendees.
“Employees of special forces broke into the headquarters of the “United Democrats” in Kazan, which hosted the lecture Catherine on the control of public procurement, and detained all those present. The reason for the detention is not known. Now all detainees are in the police Department №16 on Yapeeva, 10. We find out the circumstances of the detention,” – said the channel in the Transparency International.
According to Peter, during his detention, police officers said that the Department will deliver on suspicion of organizing terrorist attacks. But the Department said that the detainees are held as witnesses for intentionally false report about the terrorist attack.
Later Petrov wrote in Facebook that she was released.
“I’m free, Hooray! Thank you all for your support!” she said in the post.
