In Germany, the ratio of infection with the coronavirus fell below one
In Germany, two days in a row the German Institute of Robert Koch records the reduction of the rate of infection of the coronavirus, said “Deutsche Welle”.
In the report of the Institute Koch for April 15 said that the factor which is denoted as “R”, was made up of 0.9, and in the report for April 16 – 0,7.
If the ratio “R” below the unit – this means that the virus on average infects less than one person, that is, the number of new infections is decreasing (on average, as noted by the researchers, the infected person infects two to three people).
The head of the Robert Koch Institute Lothar Wheeler said that the purpose of introduction of a state quarantine is the reduction in “R” below the unit.
At a press conference April 15 toantler of Germany Angela Merkel stated that the rate of infection is an important criterion for the gradual lifting of restrictions in the country. She announced that the quarantine in the country was extended until may 3, but was allowed to open stores with an area up to 800 m2. It is expected that on 4 March in the country will resume the educational process.
