According to the publication, the hotline is available for residents of Germany. The initiators were the relevant ministries of the Federal States of North Rhine – Westphalia and Bavaria. They urged the other 14 Federal States of Germany to participate in the initiative.
Minister for family Affairs Francis Giffi said that because of limitations in connection with the coronavirus men spend more time at home, therefore may increase the number of victims of violence.
