A magnitude 4.5 earthquake occurred in the Central part of Georgia, in the Shida Kartli region. On 12 July according to the Georgian national centre for seismic monitoring.
According to seismologists, the tremors were recorded at 9.54 Tbilisi time (8.54 Kyiv time), 21 km South-West from the town of Kareli, near the village of Levitan.
The hypocenter of the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km.
Reports of casualties or damage were reported.
