China has imposed restrictions on publication of scientific research on the origin of the coronavirus. On it informs the American TV channel CNN, referring to the notice that was published on the website of two Chinese universities, but removed later.
Now all scientific articles about COVID-19 must be submitted for review before publication.
Medical expert in Hong Kong, who collaborated with researchers in mainland China, told CNN that back in February, scientific work is not subjected to such checks.
The channel believes that the new restrictions are caused by the fact that some studies about the origin of the coronavirus questioned the official position of the Chinese government on the commencement of the outbreak. In particular, we are talking about the first cases in Wuhan and transfer from person to person.
Chinese scientist on condition of anonymity, suggested that the government’s decision will preclude important research. He believes that the official Beijing may intend to submit as a coronavirus infection imported to China from abroad.
