Austria introduced the restructuring plan of the house where he was born Adolf Hitler in 1889. It involves turning it into a police station to make the building unattractive for the pilgrimage of the people, glorifying Nazi dictator. This was stated by the Minister of internal Affairs Carl Nehammer during a press conference, reports DerStandard.
“The police station is the most appropriate use case, because the police is the custodian of the rights of freedom and partner with citizens”, – said the Minister.
According to him, the tender for the reconstruction of the building took by 12 architectural firms from Austria, Germany and Switzerland. The winners were Austrian architects.
It is expected that the renovation will be completed around the end of 2022 and will cost about €5 million.
