On June 18 the participants of the protests against racial intolerance and arbitrariness of the police in American Portland tumbled down a monument to the first President of the United States, one of the founding fathers of the state of George Washington, told television station KOIN.
Initially, a group of 20 people gathered around the sculpture. On Washington’s head has wrapped the American flag and burned it. The bronze statue has painted graffiti.
Some time later, the crowd near the monument increased. The protesters dropped the statue from the monument and fled.
