The former absolute world Boxing champion Evander Holyfield admitted that he has always had a good relationship with compatriot Mike Tyson, despite famous bite in their second fight.
“People don’t understand our relationship with Tyson. Mike has lost trying to break into the Olympic team in 1984. It speaks to how competitive was the Amateur Boxing in our time.
When Tyson became a world champion in the heavyweight division, I realized that can do it too. Mike sparred when he was 17 and I was 21. And even then he was a dangerous opponent.
I appreciate that someone did this to me. Tyson beat the big boys. When he did, I knew I could too,” said Evander.
Earlier, Holyfield explained why Tyson bit his ear piece.
