“GEROPHARM” has set 840 thousand packages of insulin in Venezuela
The company “GEROPHARM” has carried out the first delivery of insulin to Venezuela on July 11 aircraft delivered 840 000 units of insulin in Caracas. Supply in addition to genetically engineered human insulin includes insulin analogs and extends the therapy of diabetes in Venezuela.
“GEROPHARM” is the sole supplier of insulin in Venezuela. This volume is enough to provide all the needs of the country, more than 400 thousand patients with diabetes, for up to two months, says the company. August 2 in the Caracas sea will also be delivered 20 thousand reusable injection pens.
The company also made the decision on delivery of free of charge 20 thousand packs of needles for insulin injection pens. “GEROPHARM”, not being the manufacturer of needles, at his own expense purchased them. As a result, each patient received a reusable syringe-pen Rentapen® II, will be free and long term provided with safe needles for insulin.
