The German government will not evacuate to the land of their citizens who contracted the coronavirus while on holiday abroad. In an interview with the newspaper Bild am Sonntag said the foreign Minister of Germany Heiko Maas.
He urged citizens not to rely on state assistance in their return to the homeland in such cases, but noted that in cases of emergency consular mission of Germany will be willing to provide the necessary support.
Maas added that the German government is unlikely to be able again to organize a flight to get home vacationers.
