In the South-West of Alaska geologists announced a warning about the threat of a tsunami after a powerful earthquake on July 22. The US geological survey reportedthat the magnitude of the quake was 7.8.
The epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of about 10 km and at a distance of 100 km South-East from the village of Perryville [Alaska]. On victims is not reported.
The tsunami warning centre in the Pacific, wrotethat the threat of tsunami was observed in 75 miles from the settlement Chignik and 520 miles Southeast of anchorage [city of Alaska, located in the South Central part of the state].
