Former head coach of the “Servette”, “Arisa”, and a number of other clubs and national teams of Yugoslavia and its successor Serbia and Montenegro Petkovic before Elijah died at the age of 74 years.
Ilija Petkovic, who starred for Yugoslavia at the 1974 #WorldCup and guided Serbia and Montenegro to the 2006 edition as coach, has died at the age of 74.

According to L’équipe, Petkovic recently struggled with a stomach ulcer because of what his body was weakened. For this reason, the former coach was not able to overcome the coronavirus, which appeared to be infected…
In 2006 Elijah Petkovic led the national team of Serbia and Montenegro in the final of the world Cup. At the balkanian championship lost all three matches in the “group of death” – Argentina, the Netherlands and côte d’ivoire.
