On Tuesday, Formula 1 has officially announced that the season-2020 will be launched in July with the Grand Prix of Austria, and the series has prepared a special medical Protocol that has been approved by all parties.
Chapter f-1 Chase Carey said that in that case, if the driver or any team member will be infected with coronavirus, it will not stop the season or the race.
“If someone in the group f-1 will be infected with the coronavirus, it will not lead to a halt or cancel the race. If the disease is the racer, the team have a backup pilots.”
“There is much talk about various “what if”, but we have a strict netprotocol on different occasions. If we were not confident in their abilities, it would not even start the season,” said Cary.
The season should start in Austria 3rd July.
