The Russian government has allocated more than 273 million rubles for the purchase of 1.5 thousand packages of anticancer drug pegaspargase (Oncaspar) for sick children. This drug is not registered in the Russian Federation.
The Ministry of health should be not later than five business days after receipt from the company of the relevant application to ensure the issuance of permits for the importation of a medicinal product, RIA Novosti reported.
The law on public procurement of unregistered drugs came into force on 1 March. It allows the government, by decision of the medical Commission to buy essential drugs abroad, in addition, the document clarifies the concept of “interchangeable drugs” and is determined by what formula they will put a price on public procurement.
