FAS: the pandemic contributed to the growth in the number of cartels

Pandemic coronavirus infection has led to the increase in the number of cartels in the pharmaceutical market. According to the head of Department for combating cartels FAS Andrey Tenisheva, for the first half of 2020 was initiated 35 cases in the pharmaceutical industry, last year during this period was initiated 32 cases.

In the FAS noted that the trend to reduce the number of collusion, which was awarded in 2019, it came to nothing and the number of cases increased. “The problem of the pandemic spurred the amount of collusion in this market: all rushed to sell, often in violation of the law and saying a word about the price increase,” – noted in the Department.
