The European medicines Agency (EMA) expects the market introduction of the vaccines against coronavirus infection in the course of the year, but it is only for the optimistic scenario. About it writes Reuters.
EMA is negotiating with 33 pharmaceutical companies and undertakes all possible measures to encourage the development of vaccines, said the head of the vaccine division office Marco Kavaleri. He also doubted that the vaccine could be ready by September this year. According to him, we can expect the emergence of vaccine in about a year, that is, in the first half of 2021.
Companies from around the world rush to develop means of preventing infection COVID-19, however, the European regulators fear a future shortage of the vaccine, especially if it is made in the USA or China.
