British promoter Eddie Hearn believes that it is already possible to spend the evening of Boxing, but without the fans:
“Visuals are very important for brand Joshua, Boxing. I don’t want to do a show behind closed doors. Want to give yourself every opportunity to arrange a fight Joshua in front of a crowd of fans. We may have to reduce ambitions and to say he’s going to fight only once this year. If so, there might be a fight in September or October. Then it will be a year since he last fought.
I prefer the fight of Joshua in the UK with the fans. My next preference is Joshua in another country with the audience. In an extreme case, Joshua behind closed doors. I’m not going to hold his career over the years, so we must do what we can.
White says he will fight Povetkin behind closed doors. Many people say that you can’t make a big show without an audience. I’m trying to change that perception. I want to put some big fights behind closed doors. You know what, if we wait too long we will not have a choice. Let’s move on! Yes, we lose money. We’ll be back with two or three fighting-level NextGen, and then I want immediately to join the organization white – Povetkin”.
Recall that due to the ongoing pandemic coronavirus Hearn was forced to postpone multiple events, including fights Anthony Joshua vs Kubrat Pulev, Alexander Povetkin vs Dillian white, Derek Chisora vs Alexander Usik.
