Dmitry PIDRUCHNY: “there was a great desire to go to the European championship”
The captain of the men’s team of Ukraine Dmitry Pidruchny spoke about the 2020 European championship, which was held in Raubichi.
“I must say that I didn’t have much desire to go to the European championship in Raubichi, but I knew that in order to receive funding, we have two main start – the world Cup and the European championship.
And this is why I do not see anything wrong with that in the European Championships our team is the main team because we are not a top team, such as Norway and France, whose second part is very strong.
Yes, it competitions of lower level, but we need them. I first ran the super sprint and 3rd place I think is a good start. In the mixed relay our team won because the whole team was balanced”.
Earlier it was reported that next season the super sprint will debut at the world Cup.
