CROUCH: “When I saw that Liverpool is playing Voronin – sorry that is gone”
39-year-old striker Peter Crouch spoke about his regrets in football.
“There are different things you need to just accept, even if it’s lost the Champions League final in 2007. But most of all regret the leaving of Liverpool. Then Rafa Benitez was even happy to let me go because I was only ever a plan B.
One of the reasons of my transfer to Portsmouth was the fact that Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres began to work well. However, when after 18 months I saw the match out Andriy Voronin and David Ngog’s clock, regret it,” said Crouch.
Recall that Crouch played for Liverpool between 2005 and 2008.
