In many North American sports leagues in one form or another, there is a salary cap, but in European football, this is nowhere.
The President of Federation of football of Germany Fritz Keller believes that the Bundesliga should think about that.
“The current crisis gives us the opportunity time. You need to look ahead and make football more financially secure. You should think about the ceiling of salaries”.
“In recent years the transfer fees and agent payments went to some incredible level, and the salary cap is one of many options for us.”
“I intend to discuss the matter with UEFA President,” said Keller.
The Bundesliga became the first top championship, which resumed during a pandemic coronavirus.
