Council will prepare proposals on the transition period for the introduction of labeling of drugs

Until July 1, 2020, the State Duma will prepare the proposals for the transitional period for the introduction of labelling of medicines. This was reported “Interfax” the first Deputy head of the faction “United Russia” Andrei Isayev.

Earlier, representatives of several associations representing the Pharma industry, appealed to the President of Russia with an appeal to postpone the introduction of mandatory labelling of drugs in Russia until 1 January 2021 due to force majeure circumstances related to the pandemic COVID-19. Currently scheduled for launch in 1 July.

“At the meeting of the working group we agreed that changes to the legislation regarding the timing of the marking, we need to make will not, but we believe that you need a certain transitional period, the necessary measures that would ensure safe entry into the marking system,” – said the Deputy.

In particular, according to Isaev, the parliamentarians intend to propose to the health Ministry does not impose fines against those organizations that do not have time to prepare for the implementation of all requirements related to labelling of drugs, for objective reasons.
