Circus company Cirque du Soleil was on the brink of bankruptcy
The company expects to raise $300 million for the restructuring and restarting of the business.
The Director of Cirque du Soleil Daniel lamarre said the company faced financial problems because of complete cessation of activities in connection with the pandemic coronavirus infection.
“For 36 years, Cirque du Soleil has been a successful and profitable company. But with zero income since the forced termination of our performances because COVID-19, the leaders had to act decisively to protect the future of the company,” he said.
