This at a press conference on 24 June said the representative of the defense Ministry of China.
According to him, June 6, the parties agreed to de-escalate the situation, but “on 15 June, the border troops of India openly violated the consensus reached by both sides, again crossed the actual line of control and deliberately provoked China”.
“During the negotiations, Chinese officers and soldiers suddenly came under attack from India. This caused intense physical confrontations between officers and soldiers on both sides that led to casualties. […] The incident is caused by violation of India’s agreements and unilateral provocation. The responsibility rests fully on India,” – said the representative of the defense Ministry of China.
