Carlsen sensationally lost the final of the online tournament 16-year-old Iranian
Norwegian chess player Magnus Carlsen, the current world champion, sensationally lost to 16-year-old Alireza Firuge from Iran in the final of the online tournament Banter Blitz Cup.

And now Perugia sprang a surprise by winning the online final of the Carlsen with a score of 8.5 to a 7.5.
The victory gave the grandmaster from Iran $14 thousand, Carlsen got $9 thousand. The total prize Fund of the tournament amounted to $50 thousand. After the final match Magnus praised young opponent: “we Must pay tribute Alireza, he’s incredibly strong.”
Recall that Carlsen organized a large tournament with a prize pool of $250 thousand. Competition involving the top 8 players will be held in online mode from 18 April to 3 may. In connection with the quarantine the players have to focus on online tournaments.
