The Norwegian Magnus Carlsen became the winner of chess online tournament Magnus Carlsen Invitational.
In the finals with a prize pool of $250 thousand, he defeated the Japanese-American Hikaru Nakamura. The winner of the tournament received $70 thousand.
Participants play each other the games with rapid time control (15 minutes + 10 seconds per move) of the four parties.
First 8 players played a round Robin. Four of the best came in the semi-finals, the winners of which secured a place in the final.
